On Saturday June 11th, at 10 AM at The Athenian School (2100 Mount Diablo Scenic Blvd, Danville), I will hold a brief tryout for a couple of BAWS pitching spots. Any local junior or sophomore pitcher is welcome to show up and be prepared to throw about a 10-15 pitch session for me. I will provide all the players with feedback about what I saw of them and that is information they can use as they continue to work toward improving.
I have no idea right now how many pitchers I will select for BAWS. It could be one, it could be two or more. If none of the pitchers impresses me, I won’t select any. As for right now I have six open pitching spots, though there are a few pitchers who have said they intend to participate, yet I have not seen their registration form yet. Realistically I think there will be about 2-3 spots open by the time this tryout takes place.
So if you are a pitcher who might have been overlooked to this point, come on out and show me what you’ve got. I am not charging anything for this tryout. Players should show up at around 9:15.
